Neil Thomas was born in 1952 to Alex and Kath Thomas, the third eldest of eight children. Neil has lived in Branxton Hunter Valley area all his life. Neil’s father, Alex Thomas, founded the Livestock company in 1952, and Neil began his livestock career alongside his father in 1968. During the tumultuous period of the mid-70s when the cattle industry faced significant challenges, Neil began driving trucks. Neil’s dedication and expertise led him to acquire licenses as a Stock and Station Agent, Real Estate Agent, and Auctioneer. Through his unwavering honesty and work ethic Neil grew the business. His integrity and commitment to excellence became the cornerstones of Thomas Livestock’s success. • In 1980, Neil married Marianne, with whom he shares two children Andrew & Cassie and a grandson Bruno. With a wealth of experience and a passion for the industry, Neil successfully navigated The business until its sale to Grant in 2021, marking a new chapter. Neil's career exemplifies a lifelong commitment to the livestock industry, marked by dedication, adaptability, and a deep-rooted connection to his community in the Hunter Valley. His integrity, hard work, and genuine care for his clients have not only shaped his career but have also left a mark on the industry as a whole.
